SUMMARY:
Customer Imperative is the market leader in B2B Customer Success strategy, transformation and operations services. We serve B2B SaaS and other technology companies across North America, helping them to define and scale customer success strategies that impact revenue.

We are searching for candidates to join our fast-growing team as a Business Development Representative (BDR).  The BDR is responsible for initial touchpoints with potential clients, ensuring that Customer Imperative is presented in an engaging way.  This person will need to have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to spot opportunities and carry-forward potential solutions.  

This position will work closely with the Customer Imperative leadership team to identify and qualify growing B2B SaaS organizations as well as private equity firms with a focus in technology.  This person must be able to adapt quickly and be motivated by growth opportunities that lie within the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  • Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
  • Present our company to potential clients
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Customer Imperative
  • Maintain the data, systems and reporting around the sales pipeline
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence
  • Strong presence with executives 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication
  • Highly organized, action-oriented and outcome-focused
  • 4-year degree
  • Ability to travel 25-50%
